Hersheypark Christmas Candylane!
November 11 - December 11
Hersheypark® invites children ages 3-8 to read their way to Christmas Candylane! From November 11 - December 11, visit the children’s desk at The Fredricksen Library or East Pennsboro Branch to pick up your holiday fun reading form. Children ages 3-8 can earn a free ticket to Hersheypark Christmas Candylane* by reading a book in each of the categories and returning it to the library by December 11 with a parent signature. Call 732-4274 for more information on how you can get started. *One ticket per child ages 3-8. Valid during the 2009 Hersheypark Christmas Candylane operating season only.
Make a Holiday Ornament with Scherenschnitte
Tuesday, November 17 from 6 to 7 pm
This art tradition was founded in Switzerland and Germany and brought to Colonial America in the 1700’s and settled primarily in Pennsylvania. Crafters ages 13 and up will make a holiday Christmas ornament. Registration is required and begins Oct.1. Please bring small pair of sharp scissors. Other supplies will be provided.
Holiday Story Time with Mrs. B
Tuesdays at 10 am, November 24 - December 15
Join the library staff for stories, and activities for children ages 3 ½ through kindergarten. Sessions run about 30 minutes. Registration is required starting Oct. 28 and spaces fill quickly!
Holiday Toddler Time with Mrs. B
Tuesdays at 11 am, November 24 - December 15
Stories, songs and activities for ages 2½ -3½ accompanied by their parent/caregiver. Sessions last about 20-30 minutes. Registration is required starting Oct. 28 and spaces fill quickly!
Bingo for Books
Tuesday, December 15 at 6:30 p.m.
An hour of bingo fun for the whole family with children’s books as prizes. Registration required beginning Nov. 12.

Beginning Photography Workshop – Part 1

This is the first of two sessions designed to acquaint beginner and novice photographers to the art of digital photography. Please bring a camera, if possible, and paper for notes. For ages 16 and up, space limited. Registration required beginning Nov. 9.
Bingo for Books for Boomers and Beyond

Aging Seminar and Forum

Reading to Dogs
Thursday, January 28 from 6 to 8pm
Specially trained dogs will be at the library to listen to children read aloud. This program is helpful to readers who may be shy or reluctant to read aloud. Registration required beginning Dec.21.
