2009 Friends of Fredricksen Silent Auction
Friends of Fredricksen Library will hold their Annual Silent Auction on November 21st from 10 a.m. till 4 p.m. in the Ruggaber Community Room. We thank all the businesses, patrons, volunteers, board members, library staff and the community for generously donating auction items, time and money. Be sure to look at the display cases in the entrance and outside the Children’s Room for a preview of all the lovely things up for bid this year. Below is a list of items available for bidding this year and photos of some.
Because of you, we were able to purchase a laminating cart, special sleeves for media shelving upstairs, and a commercial popcorn machine for library events. Friends' monies sponsored children’s and teen programming, purchased Book Pages, a monthly book review for patrons, and archiving materials for the library. We also sponsored the Cultural Program on Iran.
We hope to see all of you on Saturday, November 21st. If you come before 1 p.m., please enter through the lower door at the foot of the steps near the parking lot on Walnut Street. When the library opens at 1 p.m., you may enter through the front doors and come down the stairs or elevator to the Community Room to enter your bids. We will close the bidding at 4 p.m. and you may pick up the items on which you were the final bid from 4 to 5 p.m. Saturday or Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. Payment of cash or check will be taken in the Community Room. Charge cards will be accepted payment at the end of the Circulation Desk upstairs. Come and find presents for the holidays or something nice just for yourself.
A successful auction will go a long way toward providing all the extra things that will keep our library Simply the Best in 2010! Thank you.
